SLAYER Management Dismisses Reports Of One-Off Gig In Arizona

January 8, 2004

A spokesperson for SLAYER has rejected as a "complete fraud" recent Internet reports that SLAYER and TESTAMENT will be teaming up for a show in Arizona.

Several Web postings have surfaced over the course of the last few days advertising a SLAYER/TESTAMENT show on January 24 at the Grey Hills High School "Pit" in Tuba City.

The fictional concert, which is being "promoted" by "Red Sun Productions", is being advertised as "SLAYER's first show on an Indian reservation." In addition, the perpetrators of the fraud are claiming that SLAYER bassist/vocalist Tom Araya is discussing a possible DVD filming due to the significance of the show."

In an e-mail to BLABBERMOUTH.NET, a representative of Sanctuary Management, which handles SLAYER, stated about the show announcement, "We have nothing to do with this. Absolutely untrue."

SLAYER are believed to be continuing the songwriting process for their follow-up to 2001's "God Hates Us All", tentatively due in the summer.
