SLAYER: 'Christ Illusion' Enters Australian Chart At No. 9

SLAYER's latest album, "Christ Illusion", has entered the Australian national chart at position No. 9. View the whole chart at this location.

According to Hits Daily Double, "Christ Illusion" is poised to sell between 55,000 and 60,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land in the Top 10 on The Billboard 200 chart. The first-week U.S. chart position will be revealed on Wednesday, August 16.

"Christ Illusion" is SLAYER's first new studio album since 2001, and the first recorded by the group's original line-up — Kerry King (guitar),Tom Araya (bass, vocals),Jeff Hanneman (guitars),Dave Lombardo (drums) — since 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss". The CD was produced by Josh Abraham and executive-produced by Rick Rubin.

SLAYER is scheduled to film a war-themed video for the song "Eyes of the Insane" today (Sunday, August 13) with director Tony Petrossian (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SLIPKNOT, STONE SOUR) in the Los Angeles area.
