SKID ROW Bassist To Produce THE LUCHAGORS

January 14, 2007

SKID ROW bassist/songwriter Rachel Bolan has started pre-production with Atlanta based punk-pop hardcore band THE LUCHAGORS. The group, which features former WWE superstar Amy "Lita" Dumas on vocals, will be heading into the studio late January with Bolan at the production helm.

In addition to Dumas, THE LUCHAGORS' lineup includes Atlanta horror king Shane Morton on guitar along with Troy King and Jay Leslie Hedberg on drums and bass, respectively. "They are real," says Bolan. "It's honest, aggressive punk that sticks in your head. They're great players with great songs."

When asked about the transition from wrestling ring to the concert stage, Dumas replied, "Music has always been such a big part of my life. I am excited about immersing myself into THE LUCHAGORS full-time now. I can't wait for my fans that have stuck with me for so long to see me take on something totally different."

THE LUCHAGORS' as-yet-untitled debut will be out before the summer.
