SIX FEET UNDER Film Video For 'Shadow Of The Reaper'

SIX FEET UNDER frontman Chris Barnes has issued the following update:

"The new video for 'Shadow of the Reaper' (mp3) off the upcoming release '13' was directed by Gary Smithson who has also directed videos for bands such as GOATWHORE, THE EAGLES OF DEATH METAL (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE side project),and is also currently working on the new HIGH ON FIRE video.

"We filmed the video for 'Shadow of the Reaper' on Saturday, January 8th right in the middle of the flooding heart of Hollywood, CA. The video has a real eerie ghostlike quality — just filming the scenes we did scared the hell out of me. It was like being in the middle of one of Dario Argento's nightmares; I can't wait for the finished product.

"Two of the actors featured in the video, Meagan Crawford (from the new Wes Craven film 'Cursed'),and Aaron Kinser ('Fat Albert', 'Art School Confidential') did a great job with their scenes. This video will for sure be something worth checking out...stay tuned for more details."

As previously reported, SIX FEET UNDER's new album, "13", is scheduled for release on March 22 via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to "Bringer of Blood" was recorded at Morrisound studios and mixed at the Hit Factory in Florida. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Decomposition of the Human Race", "Somewhere in the Darkness" and "The Poison Hand".

Regarding the upcoming CD, vocalist Chris Barnes recently said, "It's full-on brutal death metal… I mean, heavy as fuck! This is the first CD I've done in a long time probably since 'Maximum Violence' that I'm just freaking out on. I don't know how we put this together, but we did and its really, really incredible."
