SINISSTAR Members Put Band On Hold, Launch New Project

February 18, 2003

SINISSTAR members Edgemont (vocals, programming, rhythm guitar) and Shadow (bass, subsonic noise, screams) have put the band on hold indefinitely and have formed a new project under the moniker ILLFATE. Joining the duo in the new group are Vial (guitar, synth) and an as-yet-undisclosed drummer. The sound of ILLFATE is being described as "something totally unheard of ... it has a crushing level of fury as well as a complete understanding of itself ... some songs have huge melodic choruses and vast, cavernous beauty, others simply will leave you in disbelief over the incredible level of anger and destruction."

ILLFATE will be recording and developing a demo in Atlanta with producer/engineer Brad Todd over the next few months. All songs from it will be downloadable for free on the bands web site: www.illfate.com (soon to be constructed). When asked about the fate of SINISSTAR, Edgemont responded: "SINISSTAR is not dead. Just on hold while we work on something else. When we can give SS our full attention and write music for it, we will be doing that… but right now ILLFATE is our main focus." A late 2003 release is expected.
