'Shred School' Offers Aspiring Musicians Chance To Learn From Multi-Platinum Artists

July 20, 2007

On August 4, aspiring musicians of all aptitudes and abilities will be offered the rare chance to learn from multi-platinum artists and the people that helped make their success a reality. The Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles will serve as the classroom for the first installment of Shred School — an exclusive one-day event that will pair some of the world's most illustrious guitar players with the musicians who hope to succeed them.

Tickets are available via the Shred School web site, www.shred-school.com.

To ensure no stone was left unturned, Shred School has tapped both performers and industry insiders for the day-long schedule. The artist roster includes TOOL's Adam Jones, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS' Dean DeLeo, the DEFTONES' Stephen Carpenter and former MARILYN MANSON/current ROB ZOMBIE axeman John 5, as well as rock gods in-the-making like DRAGONFORCE's Herman Li and AVENGED SEVENFOLD's Zacky Vengeance and Synyster Gates. And the panel of seasoned music industry veterans includes Mike Krebs (AEG Live),Ron Laffitte (former head of A&R at Capitol),Larry Jacobson (World Audience Media Group),and John Dittmar (Pinnacle Entertainment).

But that's not all! Representatives from several sponsors including McNally Smith College of Music, Guitar Hero II, Schecter Guitars, Sam Ash, Revolver magazine, Guitar World magazine, Mac Talk Computers, JVC, A&R Worldwide, Ernie Ball and Coffin Case will be in attendance, allowing attendees to demo their latest offerings.

Whether rock superstardom is the goal or merely the desire to rub shoulders with world renowned guitar players, Shred School is the one school where the students wish the classes were longer.
