June 23, 2008

According to The Pulse of Radio, SHINEDOWN will team up with THEORY OF A DEADMAN and BLACK STONE CHERRY for a stretch of summer tour dates beginning on July 13 in Covington, Kentucky and extending into late August. SHINEDOWN will be promoting its third album, "The Sound of Madness", which comes out on Tuesday (June 24),while THEORY OF A DEADMAN is on the road behind its latest effort, "Scars and Souvenirs". BLACK STONE CHERRY's sophomore CD, "Folklore and Superstition", arrives on August 19.

SHINEDOWN guitarist Nick Perri told The Pulse of Radio that he gets into a different state of mind when the band goes onstage. "Actually about 15 minutes prior to the show and with about 15 minutes after the show, I get transported into a different world of just focus," he said. "And not that I don't enjoy seeing the beautiful audience in front of us and the naked chicks and all that kind of stuff, it's fun, but a lot of times it is like there's just a different zone that you're in."
