SHATTERPOINT Putting Finishing Touches On New Album

Brampton, Ontario-based heavy/thrash metal quartet SHATTERPOINT have inked a deal with Power Play Records. The band, who have established themselves as a dominant force in the Toronto metal scene and have played with such heavy hitters as AMON AMARTH and BEHEMOTH, are putting the final touches on their new full-length album, "Dead Precedence", with producer Greg Dawson. An early 2006 release is expected.

SHATTERPOINT features Shane Drake on lead vocals and rhythm guitars, Greg Wright on lead guitars, Chris Zeeman on bass, and Jeremy Baxter on drums. The band have formed a strong partnership with Metal Queen Management (MQM). Look for the group when they perform live at Metal Queen Management's Canadian Music Week Festival Showcase on March 4 at The Vatikan in Toronto. Also scheduled to appear are CRYPTOPSY, PENETRATOR and WARMACHINE.
