SHADOWS FALL To Film 'In Effigy' Video This Weekend

May 12, 2006

SHADOWS FALL drummer Jason Bittner has posted the following update on the band's MySpace.com page:

"Just a little note to catch everyone up-to-date on what's going on over here in New York.

"For the last two weeks I've been pretty busy outside of the band doing some private lessons and doing clinics in New York City and New Jersey. I gave a clinic at the world-renowned Drummer's Collective on April 25th and it went great, even 'Late Night with Conan O'Brien' drummer (and friend) Max Weinberg and his son Jay were in attendance. The next week I headed of to New Jersey to start work with drum transcriber extrordinare Joe Bergamini on the first SHADOWS FALL drum book, hopefully due out in October.

"As of late, the SHADS are prepping to go to L.A. on Sunday [May 14] to shoot a video for the song 'In Effigy' off our upcoming 'Fallout from the War' CD... in stores June 13th!!! So I'm assuming we're in for long days, and even longer nites while out in the city of Angels!!! Paul, Matt and I also have just finished up some new photos and videos for Tama/Ibanez which you will probably see in magazines over the next few months, as well as online www.tama.com, www.ibanez.com. Lastly, I'm also going to be doing some clinics in the Northeast with one of my favorite metal bass players Dave Ellefson, formerly of MEGADETH. These clinics will be fun and laid-back, but full-on metal mayhem nonetheless!!! Here's the info:

"So that's about it for now... Still working on that new album for next year, and we're coming up with some really interesting stuff."

SHADOWS FALL will headline the third annual Strhess Tour this summer in what will turn out to be the group's only U.S. run in support of their highly anticipated new release, "Fallout from the War". The trek is set to kick off on July 12 and runs though August 11, featuring an array of the hottest cutting-edge acts that the genre currently has to offer. This year's Strhess Tour also features POISON THE WELL in the direct support slot in addition to IT DIES TODAY and STILL REMAINS, with other acclaimed acts such as DARKEST HOUR, BURY YOUR DEAD, HIMSA, THROWDOWN and SUFFOCATION joining the tour in select markets.

SHADOWS FALL's new CD, "Fallout from the War", is scheduled for release on June 13 via Century Media Records. The record's sessions were again produced and mixed by longtime friend Zeuss (HATEBREED, GOD FORBID),at Planet Z Studios in the band's home state of Massachusetts. "Fallout from the War" is a must-have for the band's dedicated following as each of the album's eleven tracks is either a brand-new, original SHADOWS FALL track, an exclusive, brand-new cover song, or a newly re-recorded version of rare material from over the years.
