SHADOWS FALL, DAMAGEPLAN Comment On Upcoming Tour

September 2, 2004

SHADOWS FALL are set to embark on a massive co-headlining U.S. tour with DAMAGEPLAN this fall. The trek, scheduled to begin on October 27 and run through December 9, covers major markets and will see both SHADOWS FALL and DAMAGEPLAN swapping the closing spot each night, which will also feature THE HAUNTED in the support slot. This highly anticipated tour is SHADOWS FALL's first nationwide run in support of their critically acclaimed new album, "The War Within", due on September 21 through Century Media Records.

Commented SHADOWS FALL singer Brian Fair: "We are very excited to be a part of this tour. I have been a huge fan of both Dime and Vinnie's playing for years and it will be an honor to share the stage with them. After watching the old PANTERA home videos, I know that both my liver and my sanity are in for a brutal time! I can't wait. Bottoms up!" Added guitarist Jon Donais: "I can't wait to hit the road this fall. Not only do we get to share the stage with some great bands but I get to tour with a guitarist who has had a huge influence on my playing (Dimebag). Hopefully my liver survives this tour because it's going to be a hell of a run. See everyone on tour."

DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinne Paul had this to say regarding the trek: "It's time for more devastation from DAMAGEPLAN. I hate being at home and this tour is long overdue. The horses are now reved, so look out. SHADOWS FALL is without a doubt one of the top metal bands out there today and I know this bill is going to kill from top to bottom. See ya there."

SHADOWS FALL's new album was produced once again by Zeuss (HATEBREED) at Planet Z Studios and features 10 tracks of "sonic devastation," according to a press release. The group also just completed a video for "The Power of I and I", directed by Dale Resteghini (FEAR FACTORY, HATEBREED). Look for the video to make its debut on "Headbanger's Ball" on September 18.

The record is available for pre-order from TowerRecords.com and will include a limited-edition DVD in an embossed double-digipack, featuring a video for "Stepping Outside the Circle" from "The Art of Balance", two live videos, guitar lessons with Matt Bachand and Jon Donais and a drum lesson with Jason Bittner. In addition to the bonus DVD, all pre-orders will come with an autographed CD booklet, free poster, a third disc containing tracks from other like-minded Century Media artists and be automatically entered to win an Ibanez guitar autographed by the band. The standard CD also features enhanced content (IM icons, screen savers, wallpapers and photos) but it's only the first pressing of 150,000 copies that will feature the digipack, bonus DVD and Century Media sampler.
