SEVENDUST Drummer Says His Rift With DEZ FAFARA Has Nothing To Do With COAL CHAMBER

September 19, 2003

SEVENDUST drummer Morgan Rose has posted the following message to his official web site:

"Hi everyone, it's Morgan. I thought I would personally post myself this time instead of having my webmaster do it for me. There's been a lot going on in my life, as well as SEVENDUST's. Of course, the drama, I've been getting some crap from some COAL CHAMBER fans [see previous coverage: story#1, story#2, story#3]. Unfortunately, they don't understand the situation at all. The rift between myself and Dez has nothing to do with COAL CHAMBER, contrary to what he says. I love Meegs and Mike & obviously I married Rayna. This is strictly a problem with Dez, not COAL CHAMBER, or their fans, or their parents, or their brothers, or their sisters, etc.,etc. I am sorry some COAL CHAMBER fans are upset by this, but understand if their families had been put through what mine had been through with this individual, words on paper in a song would be the least of his worries. Anyway, I think I'll stop wasting my time with this issue 'and grow up', so to speak. Otherwise, things are going great. We are just finishing up the acoustic shows, which by the way, we are very sorry for the four shows that were Budweiser 'radio win only' and not open to the public. We've checked these areas and will make it up to everybody soon. The acoustic tour was very much a success and we are so happy to spend quality time with all of you. We are going to be hosting 'Headbanger's Ball' soon and look for the video for 'Enemy' as it was just given to MTV. We will be hitting the road with STAIND soon and we can't wait to see everybody. God Bless & Thank You."

SEVENDUST's video for "Enemy" saw the band enlisting former "X-Force" comic artist-turned-director Adam Pollina to configure his action-packed underground short film "Romp" around the song. The clip is "high energy and nothing like you have ever seen," according to a post on the band's web site. SEVENDUST's new album, "Seasons", is due on October 7 through TVT Records.
