SENTENCED have replaced OPETH at this year's edition of Finland's Tuska festival, set to take place July 11-13 in the Kaisaniemi park in the center of Helsinki.
As previously reported, OPETH were forced to cancel their appearance at Tuska due to "logistical and financial" difficulties connected with the group's upcoming U.S. tour with PORCUPINE TREE, which is scheduled to begin later this month.
The complete list of groups currently scheduled to perform at Tuska is as follows:
CHILDREN OF BODOM
THE 69 EYES
TIMO RAUTIAINEN & TRIO NISKALAUKAUS
TYPE O NEGATIVE
Over the course of three days, more than 30 bands will be performing on three stages at Tuska 2003. In addition, more than a dozen bands will appear in the evening clubs, thereby ensuring that no shortage of heavy music will be experienced. Official live clubs this year will be Tavastia, Semifinaali and Stella Star Club.
Tickets are currently on sale through Tiketti and Lippupalvelu as well as selected record stores. A ticket for the entire weekend (3 days) costs €62 and single-day tickets cost €28.
