SCOTT WEILAND's Busy New Year's Eve

December 12, 2008

Singer Scott Weiland (STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, ex-VELVET REVOLVER) will join"American Idol" winner David Cook as a performer on the Fox network's "New Year's Live", which will be aired from the Mirage in Las Vegas. The show begins at 11 p.m. on December 31 and will also feature a "death-defying" motorcycle stunt by Robbie Knievel, son of legendary daredevil Evel Knievel.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS — including, presumably, Weiland — is scheduled to perform New Year's Eve at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. They will also play two days later in Las Vegas, Nevada at earl Concert Theater at Palms Casino.

"Missing Cleveland", the new video from Scott Weiland, can be viewed below. The clip was directed by Kevin Kerslake, who has previously helmed videos for such artists as THE USED, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, ATREYU, PAPA ROACH and VELVET REVOLVER. The song comes off Weiland's second solo album, "Happy In Galoshes", which sold 10,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 96 on The Billboard 200 chart.
