SCOTT IAN, JOEY VERA Star In BRIAN POSEHN's Video: Watch It Online

July 3, 2006

Comedian/actor Brian Posehn's video for the track "Metal by Numbers" — featuring guest appearances by ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian and ARMORED SAINT/FATES WARNING bassist Joey Vera — has been posted online at his official MySpace page. the clip, which was shot on location in Los Angeles, CA with the team of director Darren Doane (DEFTONES, AFI),producer Jeremy Jackson and editor Dan Dobi, illustrates Brian's view on today's metal scene. The track comes off Brian Posehn's new album, "Live In: Nerd Rage", due on July 11 via Relapse Records.

"Live In: Nerd Rage" reveals the hilarious observations of a self-professed nerd and life-long fan of heavy metal. Recorded as part of Brian's appearances on the Comedians of Comedy tour, and including a sketch with Bob Odenkirk ("Mr. Show"),"Live In: Nerd Rage" is Brian at his funniest. The CD features guest appearances by Ian, Vera, drummer John Tempesta (WHITE ZOMBIE, THE CULT, TESTAMENT) and lead guitarist Jonathan Donais (SHADOWS FALL),among others. The album contains two musical cuts; one by Brian's heavy metal band POSEHN and another by TITANNICA. POSEHN's lineup on "Metal by Numbers" includes Ian, Vera, Tempesta, Donais and Russ Parrish (METAL SKOOL, ex-FIGHT),with Brian himself on vocals, while TITANNICA (the metal band from the beloved "Mr. Show" sketch) delivers their epic song "Try Again, Again".

"Live In: Nerd Rage" will be released internationally in August.

As previously reported, a video clip of Ian performing a cover of JUDAS PRIEST's "You Got Another Thing Coming" with the '80s metal/hard rock tribute band METAL SKOOL at Posehn's 40th birthday party on June 27 in Los Angeles, California has been posted online at YouTube.com.
