SCARVE Complete Work On New CD

September 4, 2003

France's SCARVE have completed the recording sessions for their third album at Dug-Out Studio in Uppsala, Sweden with producers Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and Örjan Örnkloo (MISERY LOVES CO.). The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2002's "Luminiferous" is due in January 2004 through Listenable Records.

According to a post on the band's web site, the album features "a much clearer production than the band's first two efforts. Producer Daniel Bergstrand even stated the sound to be 'among the best' he's ever done!"

SCARVE's next live appearance will take place on Saturday, October 18 at the Brise-Glace in Annecy, France. Also appearing on the bill will be LYZANXIA, EVERLOUD and OSIRION. Another show with LYZANXIA is currently in the works for Friday, October 17 in Geneva, Switzerland.

In other live news, a mini-tour featuring SCARVE and Parisian death-metallers DROWNING is currently being planned for between November 7 and 11. More information will be made available soon.

In other SCARVE-related news, "I Scream You Suffer They Die" is the title of the first full-length album of EOSTENEM. This one-man project, led by the incredibly talented multi-instrumentalist Christopher Georges, also features SCARVE's Dirk Verbeuren as a session drummer. Recorded and mixed at the Atomic Art Studio (SCARVE, STENVAL, TALIANDÖRÖGD, MORTUARY),"I Scream You Suffer They Die" will be released by Blackend Records on October 6. More info and some exclusive MP3 files can be found on EOSTENEM's web site.

Contrary to previous reports, bass player Olivia will not be a part of PHAZM (featuring Pierrick, Patrick and Dirk of SCARVE) due to her full-time commitments with GARWALL and NO RETURN. A new low-frequency beast has already been found and goes by the name of Max. Meanwhile, TALIANDÖRÖGD are putting the finishing touches to their first full-length album. The follow-up to last year's acclaimed "Neverplace" EP once again features Dirk of SCARVE behind the drumkit, while Gildas Kerjan (ex-LYZANXIA) will become the band's live drummer.
