March 15, 2007

Orange County, California-based metalcore act SCARS OF TOMORROW has announced plans to split up following its upcoming West Coast tour, which will culminate in a May 5 appearance at the Showcase Theatre in Corona, California.

"We believe though the time of SCARS OF TOMORROW is finished and are going to be moving on to a new endeavor," the band writes in a lengthy message on its MySpace page. "The current lineup of SCARS OF TOMORROW are all on the same page but we want to start something fresh and new and will re-emerge in the near future."

SCARS OF TOMORROW's third album, "The Failure in Drowning", was released on October 31, 2006 via Victory Records. Produced by Eric Rachel (ATREYU, GOD FORBID, A LIFE ONCE LOST),the CD "blends breakdown-driven hardcore and vicious, razor-sharp metal to create an aural attack that refuses to let up from first note to last," according to a press release.
