SCARIOT To Begin Mixing New Album In February

January 4, 2006

SCARIOT mainman Død (a.k.a. Daniel Olaisen; BLOOD RED THRONE) has posted the following update on the recording sessions for the group's new album:

"Within a couple of weeks, Lars Nordberg and Steinar Gundersen from SPIRAL ARCHITECT will do the bass and guitar solos on the cover song that will appear on the new album. Right after that, we'll start mixing. So, the album will finally be ready sometime during February!"

As previously reported, SCARIOT have set "The Grand Design" as the title of their upcoming CD, tentatively due this spring. Drumming duties on the album were handled by Asgeir Mickelson (SPIRAL ARCHITECT, BORKNAGAR) while the bass tracks were laid down by Steve DiGiorgio (TESTAMENT, SADUS, SEBASTIAN BACH). The CD will be mixed at Top Room studios. The band's last studio album, "Strange to Numbers", was released in 2003.
