SCARECROW Frontman Is 'Psyched To Get Out Of Town And Do Some Damage'

December 7, 2007

San Francisco thrashers SCARECROW are about to launch their first tour, a two-week Western U.S. stint with FUELED BY FIRE (Metal Blade Records).

SCARECROW's ripping metal follows in the tradition of the classic Bay Area thrash bands such as TESTAMENT and VIO-LENCE. The band features guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey (EXHUMED, DEKAPITATOR, REPULSION, NOOTHGRUSH),drummer Will Carroll (VICIOUS RUMORS, CUTTHROATS 9),guitarist Bud Burke (EXHUMED),and bassist Damien Sisson (ARC, POINTS NORTH).

SCARECROW's first recording — three tracks on a split LP/CD with LANDMINE MARATHON (whose vocalist, Grace Perry, was a star of Revolver magazine's 2007 "Hottest Women In Metal" issue) — will see an early 2008 release on Level Plane Records.

SCARECROW frontman Matt Harvey comments: "We're definitely psyched to get out of town and do some damage, so save your strength for the day we come to your city!"
