SATYRICON Is 'Excited' About Coming Back To North America

January 14, 2009

Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON have issued the following update:

"Today, [SATYRICON's new album] 'The Age Of Nero' came out in North America through our new U.S. label Koch. On Thursday [January 15] we play the first show in America since 2004 and to say that we are excited about coming back after all these years is an understatement of dimensions! We have Japan, Australia and New Zealand dates coming up from mid-March on, a Nordic tour in April and early May, two shows in Greece in May and indoor festivals later that month in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Bring it on!"

SATYRICON's North American tour with CRADLE OF FILTH and SEPTICFLESH will kick off on January 15 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey.

Fan-filmed video footage of SATYRICON's December 2, 2008 concert in at Rolling Stone in Milan, Italy can be viewed below.

Photos taken at the show are available on the news blog Musica Metal.

"The Age Of Nero" entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 73.
