SATRIANI, VAI, MALMSTEEN To Appear On 'Rockline'

September 8, 2003

Guitar legends Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Yngwie Malmsteen will make an October 1 appearance on the syndicated radio program "Rockline" to help launch their G3 '03 tour, which kicks off in Phoenix on October 9. A list of radio stations that carry the program is posted at the official "Rockline"web site.

Satriani will release DVD version of his "The Satch Tapes" (which first surfaced in 1992 on VHS) in the fall through Epic Records. The guitarist is writing and recording material for the follow-up to last year's "Strange Beautiful Music", due out next spring. There is also talk of a possible 25-track, two-disc "Essential Joe Satriani" compilation, the exact track listing for which will be determined in part through suggestions from Satriani's fans on Joe's official web site.

A former student of Satriani's, Vai plans to release this fall a two-hour concert video recorded at the Astoria Theatre in London, and Malmsteen will issue in the U.S. his latest solo album, "Attack!!", which he has already released in Europe and Asia.
