SARAH JEZEBEL DEVA: New Song Available For Streaming

May 16, 2011

"The World Won't Hold Your Hand", a brand new song from British vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva who has toured and/or recorded with CRADLE OF FILTH, THERION, MORTIIS and ANGTORIA can be streamed on her Facebook page. The track comes off Sarah Jezebel Deva's sophomore solo album, "The Corruption Of Mercy", which will be released in Europe on June 20 via Listenable Records. The cover art for the CD was created by CRADLE OF FILTH artist Matt Lombard and will come in a slipcase due to its slightly "dark/close-to-the-mark" nature.

"The Corruption Of Mercy" track listing:

01 No Paragon Of Virtue
02 The World Won't Hold Your Hand
03 A Matter Of Convenience
04 Silence Please
05 Zombie
06 Pretty With Effects
07 What Lies Before You
08 Sirens
09 The Eyes That Lie
10 The Corruption Of Mercy

Commented Sarah: "We have slowly been writing the new album, 'The Corruption Of Mercy', over the last 12 months, in between shows and other musical priorities at Escape Route Studios in Essex, England. A majority of the album was written by myself and Dan Abela but further down the line, we enlisted the help of Pzy Clone from THE KOVENANT for his amazing orchestrations and programming. Pzy Clone truly was the icing on the cake for this album.

"In our eyes, this album should have been the first CD released under the Sarah Jezebel Deva name and we feel it's totally on par with ANGTORIA's 'God Has A Plan For Us All'."

Lineup:

Dan Abela - Guitar
Jamie Abela - Drums
Jonny Gray - Guitar
Ablaz - Bass
Sarah Jezebel Deva - Vocals

Sarah Jezebel Deva's solo debut, "A Sign Of Sublime", was released in February 2010 through Rising Records. The drums on the CD were laid down by Max Blunos, formerly of the U.K. death metal outfit TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED. Other guest musicians that appear on the album include Martin Powell (CRADLE OF FILTH, ANATHEMA, MY DYING BRIDE) and Dave Pybus (CRADLE OF FILTH). The CD was mixed and mastered at Escape Route by Dan Abela.
