SAMAEL Signs North American Deal With SEASON OF MIST

Swiss industrial black metallers SAMAEL have signed a North American deal with Season of Mist. The band's new EP, "Antigod", will be released on November 19 as a digital download exclusive.

Commented the group: "We always remember the first time.

"When we met again with Michael Berberian [Season Of Mist head honcho] a couple months ago, we realized that his first step in the music business was to organize a concert for us in his home town, years ago... We have often crossed each other's path since then and today we're happy to announce that our new album will be released in America through Season of Mist, home of MORBID ANGEL, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, MAYHEM and now SAMAEL!"

Three weeks after returning from Germany where the band spent time going over every new song with longtime collaborator Waldemar Sorychta (MOONSPELL, LACUNA COIL, TIAMAT, GRIP INC.),SAMAEL entered the studio on August 10 to begin recording its new album for an early 2011 release.

SAMAEL's latest CD, "Above" (2009),entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 99.
