SALEM: 'Act Of War' Video Tops Russian Chart

March 15, 2005

SALEM's video for the track "Act of War" was reportedly selected by the viewers of the Russian TV channel "Music Box" as the top video for the month of January 2005. The video countdown is updated daily and the "Act of War" clip was No. 1 the entire month, according to a posting on the group's web site. During February, the video was reportedly among the top ten videos of the month.

This achievement is astonishing as the "Music Box" channel features thousands of videos by such artists as BRITNEY SPEARS, MADONNA, SYSTEM OF A DOWN and METALLICA.

To view the video, visit the band's official web site, www.salemband.com.

As previously reported, SALEM will release their new album "Strings Attached" in April through a local distributor in Israel, The End Records in North America and Raven Music for the rest of the world.

"Strings Attached" contains 11 songs from the band's past repertoire and one brand new song, all re-arranged and performed with one of the most respected all-girl string quartets in Israel. Also featured on the CD will be a series of bonus tracks, including an alternate version of "Old Wounds" performed by the lead vocalists of ARALLU, BARTHOLOMEUS NIGHT, MOONSKIN, LEHAVOTH, MATRICIDE, SPAWN OF EVIL, SOLITARY and HANGMAN; Nir Nakav's take on one of the best known jazz drum pieces of all time, "The Drums also Waltzes" (originally recorded by the legendary Max Roach in 1969),and more.
