SABBAT Off ARCH ENEMY U.K. Tour

May 28, 2010

Reactivated British thrashers SABBAT have lost their support slot on the previously announced ARCH ENEMY U.K. tour, which is slated to take place in November (rescheduled from April).

SABBAT guitarist and acclaimed producer Andy Sneap, who has worked on several ARCH ENEMY releases in the producer/mixer capacity, commented: "Just received the following email [from ARCH ENEMY's booking agent]: '[ARCH ENEMY] feel [SABBAT's newly announced] August [headlining] dates [in the U.K.] will pull heads away from the November tour dates, and feel it is best that you do not do the November tour.'"

Sneap added, "We look forward to seeing everyone who hasn't seen SABBAT in a while in August where we can do a headline set anyway.

"Apologies to anyone with tickets to see us on the ARCH ENEMY shows; I'm sure they'll be great... Hopefully no volcanoes in November.

"Anyone seeking a refund should contact point of purchase."

SABBAT's U.K. headlining tour will feature support from IMPERIAL VENGEANCE and CINDERS FALL.

The dates are as follows:

Aug. 16 - Bierkeller, Bristol, UK
Aug. 17 - The Well, Leeds, UK
Aug. 18 - Ivory Blacks, Glasgow, UK
Aug. 20 - Rock City, Nottingham, UK
Aug. 21 - Underworld, London, UK
Aug. 22 - Central Station, Wrexham, UK

SABBAT in 2007 parted ways with bassist Fraser Craske and replaced him with Gizz Butt (PRODIGY, ENGLISH DOGS, MORE I SEE).

Sanctuary Records reissued two classic SABBAT albums: "History of a Time to Come" (1988) and "Dreamweaver" (1989). The remastered CDs contain audio recordings from the band's 1990 concert in East Berlin, which was previously released as the official "The End of the Beginning" video.
