RUSH: Sixth Annual RushCon Fan Convention Detailed

June 15, 2006

Fans of the legendary Canadian trio RUSH will celebrate for the sixth year in a row in beautiful, downtown Toronto this July as part of RushCon 6 "Strong As Life" sixth annual RUSH fan convention. Attendees from all over the world come to enjoy three fun-filled days of games, guest speakers, merchandise vendors, tribute band concerts and the annual charity auction.

This yearly RUSH fan convention includes a variety of events and entertainment options offered throughout the weekend, beginning with an exclusive "In the Mood" cocktail party and mixer held on Friday July 14, to welcome traveling fans and set the tone for the weekend. Fans will enjoy live music and tasty hors d'ouevres as they mix and mingle and meet one another.

Saturday, July 15 begins with a fan convention held at the Days Inn Hotel in Downtown Toronto. Activities include an exclusive movie matinee, shopping for rare and collectible merchandise vendors and a variety of contests, games, tours and fan participation events. The daytime events will culminate with RushCon's annual RUSH memorabilia charity auction, where rare and autographed items are sold to the highest bidder and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank. Each year the auction features rare, autographed, limited edition and many other rare and autographed items spanning their three -decade long career. This successful auction has raised nearly $36,000 for the Daily Bread Food Bank in the past four years alone.

Then, on Saturday night, fans will be treated to a private cocktail party at the legendary Orbit Room, a hip night club owned by Alex Lifeson of RUSH, then bussed to the Marquee Events Theater for a special convention after-party, featuring one of the worlds finest RUSH tribute bands — TORONTO AIRPORT — who will be traveling all the way from Florida to treat the audience to an evening of RUSH's greatest hits and obscure fan favorites.

For those wanting to make a full weekend out of it, there is also an optional Sunday afternoon (July 16) package that includes a private luxury bus tour and luncheon at Lakeside Park (made famous by the 1976 RUSH song of the same name) followed by an exclusive private party at the Orbit Room open to Sunday Tour attendees only. (Sunday events are offered at an extra charge and due to limited availability, are subject to selling out.)

Admission for the mixer, convention and tribute band concert is $55 U.S. available online at the www.rushcon.org web site or at the door Saturday night tribute concert only, $10 at the door. Optional Sunday tour is $60 U.S.

RushCon is hosted by Force 10 Enterprises, a non-profit organization formed entirely by RUSH fans. Force 10 was formed exclusively to host RushCon and ensure that each year the proceeds are donated to our designated charity, the Daily Bread Food Bank of Toronto.
