RUSH Guitarist Pays Homage To NEIL YOUNG At Toronto's WHITE RIBBON CONCERT

June 8, 2005

According to ChartAttack.com, RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson joined Jim Cuddy of BLUE RODEO and ex-DOUGHBOY John Kastner for an homage to Neil Young during Tuesday night's (June 7) 8th Annual White Ribbon Concert at The Phoenix in Toronto. "Alex suggested that we play this acoustic, but I said no way," said Cuddy before the trio scorched through the ZUMA classic "Don't Cry No Tears".

The White Ribbon Campaign was established in 1991 when a group of Canadian men decided to speak out against violence against women. It has since become the largest effort in the world of its kind. The white ribbon is a symbol of men's opposition to men's violence against women.
