Rumor: CRASHDIET Singer Quits Two Weeks Before Album Release

September 20, 2007

Vocalist H. Olliver Twisted is strongly rumored to have left Swedish glam rockers CRASHDIET less than two weeks prior to the Scandinavian release of the band's much-anticipated second album, "The Unattractive Revolution". According to one unconfirmed report, H. Olliver Twisted — who is Finnish — sent the rest of the band an e-mail earlier today (Thursday, September 20) saying that he didn't want be part of it anymore. The group's previously announced Scandinavian tour, which was scheduled to kick off with a couple of dates in late September/early October and run through the end of November, is believed to be in jeopardy, as are the band's other promotional activities in connection with the new album's release.

An attempt to contact the group's guitarist Martin Sweet for a comment about the latest rumors has thus far been unsuccessful. As soon as an official statement has been issued regarding the singer rumors, it will be posted here first.

H. Olliver Twisted (of the Finnish hard rock act RECKLESS LOVE) joined CRASHDIET as the replacement for David Hellman (a.k.a. Dave Lepard),who committed suicide in January 2006.

CRASHDIET's debut live appearance with H. Olliver Twisted took place on January 21, 2007 at the Rest in Sleaze festival at Debaser in Stockholm, Sweden.

"The Unattractive Revolution" was mixed in the States by Kevin Churko and is due in Scandinavia on October 3 and in the rest of Europe, Japan and America later in the year. A video for "In the Raw" was shot by Mikeadelica and can be viewed below.
