ROTTING CORPSE: Demo Clips Posted Online

May 20, 2005

Reunited '80s thrash band ROTTING CORPSE — whose original lineup included current SOLITUDE AETURNUS mainman John Perez and former DEATH touring guitarist/roadie Walter Trachsler — have posted four clips from their upcoming "Demos" CD at their MySpace.com page.

Each of the four clips is a 30-second sample representing one of the four demos released by ROTTING CORPSE between 1986 and 1990.

The first clip, "War on Drugs", from the original ROTTING CORPSE demo released in 1986, with Jim "Slo Moe" Mulqueen on lead vocals, was recorded at Pantego Sound Studios and produced by Jerry Abbott (father of PANTERA's Darrell and Vinnie Paul). The demo was Mulqueen's only recording as the ROTTING CORPSE vocalist. "Evolvement", the second clip posted, comes from the 1987 "F*ck It, It's Only Thrash" demo tape that was produced by Vinnie Paul and once again recorded at Pantego Sound Studio. The 1987 demo was the first of two CORPSE demos Vinnie Paul produced. Sample three, "Emotional Scars", is pulled from the 1988 demo tape and was once again produced by Paul and recorded at the Pantego Studio. The fourth sample is an instrumental titled "Outro" which was released on the fourth and final ROTTING CORPSE demo in 1990.

Along with the song clips, there will be ten photos that have been pulled from the ROTTING CORPSE archives posted with brief captions as well as a comprehensive band bio.

The "Demos" CD is scheduled for release on Tuesday, May 24, 2005 with a limited edition pressing of 100 that contain a separate one-sided ROTTING CORPSE skull logo insert that has been signed by past and present members, including the four original members (Perez, Trachsler, Mulqueen and David Gryder).
