ROTTING CORPSE Announce New Tour Dates, Plan DVD Release

September 6, 2005

Reunited '80s thrash band ROTTING CORPSE — whose original lineup included current SOLITUDE AETURNUS mainman John Perez and former DEATH touring guitarist/roadie Walter Trachsler — have confirmed six dates for September and October. Three of the dates in October have ROTTING CORPSE opening for the recently reunited RIGOR MORTIS, including a main support slot at the first official date of the RIGOR MORTIS reunion of their nine Texas shows. For the Fort Worth date, ROTTING CORPSE will be sharing the stage not only with RIGOR MORTIS, but also with the reunited Dallas-Fort Worth-based thrash band GAMMACIDE, which features Rick Perry from the industrial metal act PUNCTURE.

Upcoming ROTTING CORPSE shows:

Sep. 23 - Houston, TX @ Walters
Sep. 24 - Arlington, TX @ Phoenix Music Complex
Oct. 21 - Austin, TX @ The Back Room (w/ RIGOR MORTIS)
Oct. 22 - Corpus Christi, TX @ Equal Eyez (Texas Helloween Metal Fest II)
Oct. 28 - Houston, TX @ Fitzgeralds (w/ ETERNITY BLACK)
Oct. 29 - Fort Worth, TX @ Axis (w/ RIGOR MORTIS, GAMMACIDE)

In other news, ROTTING CORPSE will soon head into the studio and start laying down demo tracks for an untitled future release.

During the three-city Texas tour in late May, a two-person film crew from Deermagian Filmworks accompanied ROTTING CORPSE, documenting each show and conducting interviews with present and former ROTTING CORPSE members, including Perez and original drummer David Gryder. Interviews were not limited to just band members, but also individuals who were able to recount the early days of ROTTING CORPSE and the Texas thrash and metal music scene in the various cities. The documentary will be titled "Circus of Fools" and released in DVD format. The film is currently being edited and pieced together but no release date has been set.
