February 13, 2011

On February 8, Aniruddh "Andrew" Bansal of Metal Assault conducted an interview with vocalist Keijo Niinimaa of Finland's ROTTEN SOUND at the Key Club in West Hollywood, California. The chat can now be streamed using the audio player below.

ROTTEN SOUND is currently touring North America as part of "The Finnish Metal Tour 2", also featuring FINNTROLL, ENSIFERUM and BARREN EARTH. The five-week trek will run until early March when it wraps up in Raleigh, North Carolina.

"Self, the new video from ROTTEN SOUND, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed by Rami Kallio at ROTTEN SOUND's show at Vastavirta in Tampere, Finland and it uses the album version of "Self" that features guest vocals from VICTIMS' Johan Eriksoon. The track comes off the group's new full-length album, "Cursed", which will be released on March 15 via Relapse Records (except in Finland, where it will arrive on March 16 through Fullsteam Records). The 16-track follow-up to 2008's "Cycles" was recorded at Nordic Audio Labs and is lyrically themed around the six curses of mankind.

"Cursed" is currently available for pre-order at this location.

ROTTEN SOUND has announced a headlining European tour in support of "Cursed". The four-week trek will kick off in early April and will also include TRAP THEM, GAZA, THE KANDIDATE and HAUST.
