ROBOT MONSTER ARMY Releases 'Strange Angel' EP

October 8, 2009

ROBOT MONSTER ARMY, the brainchild of ex-WARGASM frontman Bob Mayo, has issued a three-track EP featuring songs recorded during sessions for the band's debut album. The "Strange Angel" EP is the second release from ROBOT MONSTER ARMY.

ROBOT MONSTER ARMY's self-titled debut album was released in June on YAAG Records and is currently available via all major online music outlets. The '70s-inspired album features performances by several members of Boston's metal elite: former members of WARGASM, ONLY LIVING WITNESS and GANG GREEN appear, and current members of STEEL ASSASSIN, BAD KARMA and MELIAH RAGE also contributed.

"Two of the songs on the EP are basically leftovers from the first album," says Mayo. "It's an outtake from the album sessions ('Strange Angel'),the b-side to the 'She's the Future' single ('Animal Heart/Machine Head'),and also a live track ('Break Every Bone'). I don't remember much about the live one..."

Each ROBOT MONSTER ARMY release will benefit a worthy cause; a portion of the proceeds generated from the "Strange Angel" EP will go to Autism Speaks, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
