RIVERRED Recruit Former TAD Guitarist For Upcoming Gig

October 23, 2003

Aaron Slip (ex-TAD, RORSCHACH TEST) will be joining Seattle's RIVERRED as second guitarist at the November 8 Seattle show supporting THE ACCÜSED at Studio 7.

This is a logical "fill-in/guest spot" as Tom Niemeyer (GRUNTRUCK, THE ACCÜSED),who recently handled the second guitar slot on the RIVERRED West Coast tour, will not be pulling double duty that night. The band, typically a three piece, have not stated whether a permanent second guitarist is being sought after. Vocalist/guitarist James Francis states: "Until we toured with Tommy earlier this month, we never realized the full potential of having that extra guitar and now, we just don't want to go on without it if we don't have to, so this is a good opportunity to play with some people we like… obviously if Tommy wasn't involved in THE ACCÜSED and if he was willing I would gladly have him! But I don't want to take away from anything he's doing because I'm such a fan of THE ACCÜSED and GRUNTRUCK and whatever he's involving himself in… the slot is always there if he wants it and I'm sure he knows that. Of course, Aaron is from the same school of guitar as Tommy, so it's an obvious thing and we're really glad to have him for this show… we're just taking it one baby step at a time."

RIVERRED are currently shopping/considering offers from various record labels following the recent release of much acclaimed debut album, "Save Myself", which was produced by Chris Hanson (MACHINE HEAD, VIO-LENCE, TECHNOCRACY).
