July 28, 2006

British rockers RISE TO ADDICTION, who feature in their ranks former BLAZE members John Slater (guitar) and Steve Wray (guitar),have set the "provisional" track listing for their debut album, tentatively due before the end of the year through an as-yet-undetermined label. A total of 12 songs have been laid down for the album, which has a working title of "All Human Life". The band are once again working with Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, TRIVIUM) who produced last year's self-titled EP. The track listing is as follows:

01. Cold Season
02. Falling As One
03. Moths to a Flame
04. One Sweet Minute
05. This Ride
06. Low
07. I Follow
08. Everlasting Wave
09. To A God Unknown
10. Fessonia
11. (interlude)
12. The Hive

In other news, RISE TO ADDICTION has announced that the "interlude" piece on its debut album was written for the band by Mike Garson — the famous pianist, composer, and artist. "Mike is known around the world for his adaptability, versatility and virtuosity," the group writes on its web site. "He's worked with many greats such as David Bowie from the early '70s onwards, SMASHING PUMPKINS, NINE INCH NAILS and of course now RISE TO ADDICTION!"

Commented Slater: "I've been a massive fan of Mike's work ever since 'Aladdin Sane' (Bowie '73) and to have him play on this album is just fantastic! I can't wait for you all to hear it!"
