RIOT To Utilize Session Singer For Spanish Festival Appearance

RIOT singer Mike DiMeo will be unable to accompany the band to the 2005 edition of Spain's Atarfe Vega Rock festival in late February due to his commitment with THE LIZARDS (featuring drummer Bobby Rondinelli of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT/BLACK SABBATH/RAINBOW fame). As a result, RIOT guitarist Mark Reale has hired vocalist Mike Tirelli (MESSIAH'S KISS, HOLY MOTHER, BURNING STARR) to fill in for DiMeo at the Spanish festival, which will include additional appearances by MEGADETH, FEAR FACTORY, QUIET RIOT, CANDLEMASS, BENEDICTION, PARADISE LOST, RAGE, SUIDAKRA, THERION, U.D.O., AGATHODAIMON, ANATHEMA, BONFIRE, EDGUY and HAGGARD.

RIOT's lineup for the Atarfe Vega Rock festival appearance will be as follows:

Mark Reale - Guitars
Mike Flyntz - Guitars
Randy Coven (ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) - Bass
Frank Gilchriest (VIRGIN STEELE) - Drums
Mike Tirelli (MESSIAH'S KISS, HOLY MOTHER, BURNING STARR) - Vocals
