RIOT: More European Dates Announced

Veteran hard rockers RIOT have revised their European tour itinerary. The group's schedule is now shaping up as follows:

Apr. 08 – Keep It True Festival – Lauda–Konigshofen, GER
Apr. 09 - Lintfabriek - Kontich, BEL
Apr. 11 - Spirit Of 66 – Verviers, BEL
Apr. 12 - Music Hall – Weiher, GER
Apr. 14 - Motion - Zingonia Bergamo, ITA
Apr. 15 - Rock Bottom – Thessaloniki, GRE
Apr. 16 - B-Live Club – Larissa, GRE
Apr. 17 - Underworld – Athens, GRE

RIOT's current touring lineup includes singer Mike Tirelli (MESSIAH'S KISS, HOLY MOTHER, BURNING STARR), who is filling in for regular vocalist Mike Dimeo due to Dimeo's commitments with THE LIZARDS (also featuring drummer Bobby Rondinelli of BLUE ÖYSTER CULT/BLACK SABBATH/RAINBOW fame). The band recently completed work on their follow-up to 2002's "Through the Storm", tentatively due this spring/summer via EMI in Japan. The CD is expected to arrive in other territories a short time later.

In a recent interview with Rock N Roll Universe, Dimeo said about the upcoming CD, "I'm really proud of it. I think it's probably my best performance with the band. The songs are really heavy, really cool. Reale [Mark, guitar] is a tremendous writer, so it's hard to not get great stuff from him. He's such a good writer that no matter what way he does it, his songs usually come out great."
