RINGWORM's New CD To Feature Artwork By VOIVOD's AWAY

June 9, 2007

Cleveland-based metal/hardcore band RINGWORM has tapped VOIVOD drummer Michel "Away" Langevin to create the artwork for its new album, "The Ninth Circle: The Venomous Grand Design", due on August 21 via Victory Records. The CD is being recorded at Spider Studios in Strongsville, Ohio with producer Ben Schigel (CHIMAIRA, DROWNING POOL, INTEGRITY).

"The record is crazy, sounds awesome. PISSED," vocalist James Bulloch (a.k.a. Human Furnace) recently stated. "Ben at Spider Studios is hooking it up. Drums are thunderous, guitars are shredding and the bass is ripping. It sounds huge, but not over-produced — still gritty and raw. We made a little departure from the last record, 'Justice Replaced by Revenge' [2005]. This new one has a lot more thrash metal influence, songs are little more technical, but catchy as fuck. Still makes you want to lose your mind and thrash something (or somebody). No emo garbage, no eyeliner fake metal bullshit, no lame fretboard gymnastics. We do what we always do, make records that WE like. FUCK THE TRENDS." Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "The Cage", "The Ninth Circle", "Razor's Line", "Suicidal Visions", "Life's Blood", "The Key", "Dichotomy", and "I Preach To No One". A video for the track "The Ninth Circle" will be shot with director Don Tyler over the coming weeks.
