RIGOR MORTIS To Unveil 'The Bloody Rhino' Guitar

September 26, 2005

Bassist Casey Orr (GWAR, X-COPS, THE HELLIONS, THE BURDEN BROTHERS) of the reunited Texas thrashers RIGOR MORTIS has sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"Before the RIGOR MORTIS show on Nov. 4th at The North 6 club in New York City, guitarist Mike Scaccia and First Act Guitars will unveil the 'The Bloody Rhino'. The custom, one-of-a-kind guitar has been hand stained by Mike in his own blood! It took six vials of Scaccia's blood, which he extracted himself, to stain the solid mahogany, 1/4 inch maple arch top guitar. The guitar features a maple neck with ebony fretboard, and all Gibson hardware. On the afternoon of the show, The New York City blood bank will have a mobile blood unit on site to take donations. Before the concert, the guitar will be unveil followed by a short documentary about the creation of 'The Bloody Rhino'. The documentary also features original soundtrack music by Mike Scaccia. More details and pictures of the guitar will be available soon."

The original RIGOR MORTIS lineup of Orr, Bruce Corbitt, Mike Scaccia (MINISTRY, REVOLTING COCKS),and Harden Harrison (PERVIS, SPEEDEALER, MITRA) recently announced their first shows together in 15 years. The "Re-Animate" tour starts with a handful of Texas dates in October, with tentative plans to continue after the first of the year followed by a new album.
