RETRIBUTE RECORDS Announces Two New Signings

The U.K.'s Retribute Records has announced the signing of THE RIVER and ACCEPT DEATH.

For the past six years, the U.K.'s THE RIVER have been forging their own brand of oneiric doom metal, incorporating seriously heavy riffing, enchanting female vocals and lashings of melody. Having produced four exceptionally well-received demos (which enabled the band to play live with THE LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG, REVEREND BIZARRE, BROCAS HELM and ESOTERIC),the band have now signed to Retribute Records. Their debut CD, "Drawing Down the Sun", is set to show another significant progression in both playing and songwriting, incorporating some left-field ideas with monumentally heavy riffs. Rest assured the band's knack of writing unashamed yet challenging doom metal will be further explored with this release! Release Date: May 2006.

Ohio's ACCEPT DEATH was formed in 2005 from the ashes of sludge powerhouse MUZZLELOADER and features current and past members of such heavyweights as INTEGRITY, HEMDALE, FISTULA and ULTRALORD. With such history behind them, this brutally destructive trio are on a mission to sonically destroy anything and everything in their way. Release Date: May 2006
