RESURRECTED Frontman Forced To Sit Out Portuguese Shows

December 26, 2009

Long-running German death metallers RESURRECTED have issued the following update:

"Our singer, Carsten [Scholz], is forced to sit out both Portugal shows in January due to a chronic pneumonia he caught at Mountains Of Death festival this year. His current cure does not allow to grunt more than two or three songs in a row. Chris Mieves from GRIND INC. will step in for both shows and he's already excited doing that job! We hope Carsten is fit again by April as we plan to arrange a little U.K. tour then."

Affected dates:

Jan. 29 - Metal Point - Porto, POR
Jan. 30 - Revolver Bar - Lisbon, POR

RESURRECTED released its sixth album, "Fierce", earlier in the year via Metal Age Productions. The CD was recorded at Soundlodge studios in Rhauderfehn, Germany with Jörk Uken (GOD DETHRONED, OBSCENITY). The band states, "We're overwhelmed by the result. Expect the most varied and vital RESURRECTED album so far embedded in an awesome production including some guest vocals of Christoph Mieves from GRIND INC."

The "Fierce" cover artwork was created by Björn Gosses of Killustrations (VOMITORY, LAY DOWN ROTTEN, SEVERE TORTURE) and can be viewed below.

RESURRECTED's fifth album, "Endless Sea of Loss", was released in October 2006 via Morbid Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Blood Spilled" was recorded at Soundlodge Studio in Germany and was mastered at Megawimp Mastering Studio in Berlin.
