REDEMPTION Annouces Dates On DREAM THEATER Tour That Will Feature NICOLAS VAN DYK

Sean Entrikin of PRYMARY will fill in for REDEMPTION guitarist/songwriter Nicolas van Dyk for several dates on the latter band's upcoming U.S. tour with DREAM THEATER.

Said Dyk: "For those of you aware of my rather demanding 'day job,' I personally will be making as many of these shows as possible. For the dates where I am unable to make it, we will be fortunate to have the talents of Sean Entrikin of PRYMARY taking my place. The rest of the band will be there at all dates."

Excluding Montral and Toronto, which are up in the air, Dyk plans on playing at 17 of the remaining 23 shows. The details are as follows:

Added Dyk: "We are extremely excited to get this underway. We've resumed rehearsals and are trying to figure out how to cram as much music as we can into 35 minutes...that means a lot of fast songs!"

REDEMPTION released its third CD, "The Origins of Ruin", on April 3 via Inside Out Music. The CD follows up 2005's breakthrough release "The Fullness of Time", the band's first with FATES WARNING frontman Ray Alder, which generated tremendous critical and popular acclaim. With Bernie Versailles (guitars, AGENT STEEL),Chris Quirarte (drums, PRYMARY) and new bass player Sean Andrews (who performed on Henning Pauly's CHAIN project),REDEMPTION is one of the most prominent up-and-coming progressive metal bands.
