RECTIFY Sign With GARDEN OF EXILE RECORDS

November 19, 2004

Dutch thrash/metalcore band RECTIFY have inked a deal with Garden of Exile Records. The group's recently completed debut album, entitled "Have Mercy…", is scheduled for release in late January/early February.

"Have Mercy…" was recorded and mixed by Daan van der Elsken at Stilteloos Studios in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where bands such as BORN FROM PAIN, 37 STABWOUNDZ and AGRESIÓN also tracked their material. Mastering duties were handled by Dave Chang at the Philia Studios, Henley-On-Thames in the U.K. An MP3 of the track "Indifference of Good People" can be downloaded at this location.

"The foundation of RECTIFY's music lies in thrash and speed metal from the '80s and '90s," according to an official press release. "Another creative musical injection was found in the end of the '90s with a new style within the hardcore scene. RECTIFY is trying to take these styles to a new level of fierceness in both musical structure and performance, as well as in recording. You could therefore describe their style as a mix of SLAYER's thrash, KICKBACK's sickness and the aggression from bands like old LENGTH OF TIME or ARKANGEL."
