REBEL MEETS REBEL On Track To Sell 30,000 Copies First Week Of Release

May 3, 2006

Hits Daily Double is reporting that "Rebel Meets Rebel" — an album featuring the last completed recordings by slain PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott along with contributions from his brother and drummer Vinnie Paul, PANTERA bassist Rex Brown and country singer David Allan Coe — is on track to sell about 30,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, which will likely result in a Top 50 debut on The Billboard 200 chart. Vinnie Paul told Launch that the CD is a tribute to his late brother's talents. "It was a cool record, you know," he said. "It was just something that was really cool and something that's gonna add to Dime's incredible legacy that he already has. It's got some of the most stellar guitar work he's ever done in his entire life on there, and it was a fun record to make and it makes me feel like I'm still workin'with him right now. It's just one more thing that he did that's amazing, you know."

In other news, Vinnie Paul has scheduled in-store appearances at all three Canadian locations of Steve's Music. The dates are as follows:

Jun. 03 - Toronto, ONT
Jun. 05 - Ottawa, ONT
Jun. 06 - Montreal, QUE
