RAVEN Frontman Says Band 'Went Down Great' At U.K. BLOODSTOCK Festival

September 6, 2005

RAVEN bassist/vocalist John Gallagher has posted the following message regarding the band's appearance at this past weekend's Bloodstock festival in Derby, U.K.:

"It was a blast!!! We were amazed at how well the festival was run, great venue, atmosphere and great audience. Most of the bands fell into two camps — Euro-metal a la HELLOWEEN...or female-fronted goth-EVANESCENCE style — so we stuck out like a sore thumb, but we went down great regardless!! Mark [Gallagher, guitar] managed to fall off a front monitor during the second song, screwing his knee up, but you would never have known (they had paramedics check him out after the show). Can't wait to see the photos!!

"Thanks to everyone that was involved with the organization… and to the audience!!!"

RAVEN are continuing to write and demo material for a new album, their first new product since 1999's "One For All". The band was forced out of action in 2001 when guitarist Mark Gallagher suffered serious injuries. Songtitles set to appear on the upcoming CD include "Against the Grain", "Running around in Circles", "Armageddon", "Long Hard Road", "Bulldozer", "Breaking You Down", "Under Your Radar", "Attitude", "Burn Your Bridges", "Long Day's Journey", "The Stranger Inside", "Desperate Measures", "Strip Away" and "Wrecking Crew".
