RAVEN Drummer Joined By Former VENOM, SPIRIT CARAVAN Members For Upcoming Gigs

According to LivingForMetal.com, drummer Joe Hasselvander (RAVEN, PENTAGRAM) has just released his new solo album, "The Hounds of Hasselvander", via Rock Saviour Records. Joe wrote all the material and played all the instruments on the CD.

To promote the release, Joe has assembled a jaw-dropping collection of musicians to support him at live gigs, including former members of VENOM and SPIRIT CARAVAN:

* Mike Hickey (guitar): Mike has played guitar with British metal legends VENOM and CARCASS, and also was bassist with CATHEDRAL. You can hear Mike on the critically acclaimed 2006 release "Metal Black" by VENOM on Sanctuary Records, as well as the recently released "Hell to the Unknown - The Cronos Anthology". Look for the release of Mike's project GOATREIGN on Wabana/Cargo Records in August 2007. Mike has also performed with Derek Sherinian, DOWN, BRUTAL TRUTH, PITCHSHIFTER and NUCLEAR ASSAULT.

* Gary Isom (drums): Gary is currently drummer for UNORTHODOX, NITROSEED and HELLFIRE RED. In the past he has played drums for SPIRIT CARAVAN, PENTAGRAM, IRON MAN, and WRETCHED.

* Kayt Vigil (bass): Kayt is the founding member of HATCHETFACE (Philadelphia),SYSZLAK, CATHETER. She has also performed with FORCED INSTINCT, THE EMMAS, ZED, DOWNER, SPEEDQUEEN.

Hasselvander's debut gig will take place on Saturday, August 11 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey. The band will also perform on Tuesday, August 14 at the Lucky Dog Music Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts.
