RAISED FIST: New Album Title, Release Date Announced

Swedish rock heavyweights RAISED FIST will release their fifth album, "Veil Of Ignorance", on September 7 via Burning Heart Records. The CD was recorded at Dugout Productions in Uppsala, Sweden with producer Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH). The follow-up to 2006's "Sound Of The Republic" was approached with the same enthusiasm and balls-to-the-wall attitude as before. "Expect nothing more from us than a 'fifth studio album', [and] let the music talk for itself," singer Alexander "Alle" Hagman previously stated. "RAISED FIST specialists, notorious critics and trendsetters all around the world will have their say. After that we go on tour and blast every one of them off their high horses.... just like every single time before."

A new RAISED FIST track entitled "Friends & Traitors" — taken from the forthcoming CD — is available for free download at this location (free e-mail sign-up required).

Formed back in 1993, RAISED FIST is an established name within the heavy music scene. The band gained legendary status within the hardcore scene and became a well-respected name within the metal community.

After they finish recording the new album, the band will appear exclusively at three top summer festivals in Scandinavia: Peace & Love, West Coast Riot in Sweden and Provinsirock in Finland. Their worldwide tour kicks off in early September 2009.
