RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE Roars Back To Life This Weekend

April 27, 2007

Launch Radio Networks reports: RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE will perform together for the first time in seven years this Sunday night (April 29) as the political rock group headlines and closes the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California. Guitarist Tom Morello, who's also performing at the festival on Saturday (April 28) as his political folk alter ego, THE NIGHTWATCHMAN, told Launch he's looking forward to a momentous weekend. "On Saturday the revolution will not be amplified and on Sunday, it will be (laughs)," he said. "Not an hour goes by if I'm walking around town here where someone doesn't scream 'Coachella'or 'RAGE' out the window to me, so it's gonna be pretty exciting. But, you know, rehearsals have been going great, and when those four guys play those RAGE songs, it sounds like RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, so I think it's gonna be a pretty groovy evening."

Morello and RAGE singer Zack de la Rocha previewed this weekend's show by playing a handful of RAGE songs in Chicago on April 14 at a rally for an immigrant farm workers'organization.

Morello's debut album as THE NIGHTWATCHMAN, "One Man Revolution", came out on Tuesday (April 24).

A video for Morello's song "The Road I Must Travel" premiered last week on filmmaker Michael Moore's web site.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE will also play three dates on this summer's Rock The Bells festival tour, and may announce additional shows later in the year.

Meanwhile, Morello has confirmed a string of solo dates following Coachella and a few shows opening for Ben Harper. His schedule now goes like this:
