QUEENSRŸCHE's GEOFF TATE: U.S. Tour To Commence In July

February 5, 2003

QUEENSRŸCHE frontman Geoff Tate has posted the following update to the forum section of his official web site (www.geofftate.com):

"Hey everybody, I've had my head buried in the QUEENSRŸCHE project for the last few months and haven't posted and I'm reminded that every time I don't speak up, rumors begin to fly. So here is the lowdown: studio, studio, studio, we're in recording mode right now, expecting to wrap in April/May for a June release and tour. We have dates booked in Europe for June and are planning on tour dates for the U.S. following in July. The writing and recording have been progressing nicely although we had a bit of a slow start due to [QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist] Michael [Wilton], [drummer] Scott [Rockenfield] and myself recording side projects throughout last year. (Thanks to everyone who came out to the various shows.) The atmo in the sessions is great and everyone is playing exceptionally well. We have some surprises planned for you with regards to the new studio CD and the upcoming tour that I'm betting that most of you will like. For all you net junkies out there, take a breath and go outside. The QR pipeline will be opening very soon and the details will be made public so you can all hear what the hell has been going on. Unless GWB brings us to our knees with a NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST. Peace and NO WAR."
