QUEENSRŸCHE: New Audio Interview With MICHAEL WILTON Available

July 14, 2008

QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist Michael Wilton appeared on last weekend's terrestrial version of "The Classic Metal Show" to talk about QUEENSRŸCHE business as well as his collaboration with singer Tim "Ripper" Owens (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, BEYOND FEAR, JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH) on the new material from Wilton's SOULBENDER side project. Listen to the chat in two parts below. An excerpt from the interview follows.

The Classic Metal Show: You guys put out a greatest hits package called "Sign Of The Times" last year the featured a cameo from guitarist Chris DeGarmo. I'm sure you know that when you do something like that, the fans start going, "Chris is coming back. Mike Stone is going to be let go." Could that ever happen, or are you in a position where Chris is good and you guys are good, and everybody is just happy?

Michael Wilton: "I can't speak for Chris, but he's pretty solidified in what he's doing right now. I know he's still got his hands in the music industry. He always throws in ideas once in awhile. But I don't think it’s a permanent fixture. It's like you said, a cameo. It keeps his feet wet, and kind of keeps him in the business. There's no plans on reuniting with him unless he can make a serious commitment."
