QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's JOSH HOMME Discusses New York City Bar Brawl

April 12, 2004

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman Josh Homme spoke to Launch Radio Networks about the incident last Tuesday morning (April 6) when he, his girlfriend Brody Dalle of THE DISTILLERS, and their friend, ex-A PERFECT CIRCLE bassist Paz Lenchantin, ran into trouble in a downtown New York bar. "There was a guy that was disrespecting my friend Paz and my girl Brody. I'd asked him nicely to leave and he wouldn't leave, so I put his lights out. You know, he took a swing at me basically, and he didn't fully get the swing off, but I got mine off, and I knocked him out and they took him outside and that was it. My hand was a little swollen, so I couldn't play Philly the next day."

Homme has now returned home and will begin pre-production on the follow-up to QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's 2002 album, "Songs For The Deaf". He plans to enter the studio in mid-May.
