QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE: New CD To Feature Guest Appearances By GARBAGE, DISTILLERS Frontwomen

August 12, 2004

GARBAGE frontwoman Shirley Manson and the DISTILLERS' Brody Dalle contributed vocals to an as-yet-untitled cut earmarked for QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's in-progress new studio album, according to Billboard.com. Dalle is the girlfriend of QOTSA leader Josh Homme.

"It was so much fun," Manson wrote on GARBAGE's official web site. "[Dalle] has a crazy voice. She can really sing and what's even cooler about her is that she has no fucking idea just how good she is."

Manson was similarly enthused about the progress of the QOTSA album. "It's great," she said. "Really REALLY great. You'll love it. And how Josh Homme is not yet a household name is quite beyond me."

As previously reported, QOTSA were previously joined in the studio by ZZ TOP guitarist Billy F. Gibbons. The album will be the group's first since the departure of bassist Nick Oliveri. ELEVEN's Alain Johannes is believed to be playing bass during the sessions.
